NW Group was originally established in 1973 as Oceania Productions, a specialist audio provider based in Auckland, New Zealand.

Since then, we have evolved into a leading full-service event production company, delivering high-end technical solutions across New Zealand, Australia, and major international events. Our growth has been driven by a strategic acquisition program, enabling us to expand our capabilities and scale while fully integrating each business into a unified operation.

Many of the brands within our group have deep roots in the industry, with legacies dating back to 1973. We’ve adopted a ‘house of brands’ strategy to leverage the strong brand equity of each, all united under the NW Group banner — a name widely recognised and respected across the events industry.

Today, NW Group is headquartered in Auckland, with a team of 112 talented professionals spanning New Zealand and Australia.

We were proud to receive industry recognition in 2024, winning a Major Events International (MEI) Award in the David vs Goliath category — celebrating the best client win against the odds. We were also named Best AV Supplier at the EVANZ Awards, a testament to our commitment to delivering exceptional event experiences. Over the years, we’ve been honoured as both finalists and winners across a range of prestigious awards, including the NZEA Event Awards, EVANZ, MEI, Australian Event Awards, and MEA.
